We are pleased to announce that as of your next Upsync in v7.1/1.13, a new Eclipse Master Menu will be installed and enabled on your system. The new Master Menu will provide an automated means for Explorer to provide updates to menus. These menu updates can then be easily copied to your custom menus by your Eclipse system administrator.
In the initial installation, the Master Menu will be enabled ONLY for users who specifically belong to the ADMIN user group.
We have incorporated the default security behavior below to automatically restrict access to the Eclipse Master Menu:
- -All users belong to the _ALL group. This group will be automatically blocked from accessing the Eclipse Master Menu to ensure users do not have inappropriate access to restricted menu functions.
- -Full access rights to the Master Menu will be automatically granted to users who currently belong to the ADMIN group.
- -If an ADMIN user group does not exist, it will be automatically created. Users will need to be assigned to that group in order to be able to view the new Eclipse Master Menu.
The Eclipse Master Menu cannot be modified but can be used to copy or duplicate menu folders or items to customized menus. If assistance is needed in developing or maintaining customized menus, please contact Implementation Services.
As new programs are released or replace existing programs, the Eclipse Master Menu will be updated automatically to incorporate these menu revisions.
Notification of these changes will be provided via the What’s New In Eclipse v1.13 announcements page.
Check the Customer Portal for future Lunch and Learns about this exciting new menu administration feature.
